Developed and manufactured in Wolfsburg, designed with the world in mind: the new Tayron enhances Volkswagen’s SUV family. The sporty design of the Tayron impresses down to the last detail – from the striking front section, to the door panelling in the vehicle colour, to the four different and optional 20-inch alloy wheels.
With a standard range of features including ambient lighting, illuminated Volkswagen logos on the front and rear, new main beam headlights and new tail lights with dynamic turn signals, the Tayron sets stylish accents. The optionally available IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights are yet another absolute highlight.
When inner values count
From outstanding spaciousness for bag and baggage, thanks also to the extended wheelbase, to an abundant range of standard features such as the multifunction steering wheel with hard keys or the door trim in the vehicle colour through to the optional tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof that offers passengers an unrestricted view of the sky. You can gently illuminate the interior of the new Tayron optionally in up to 30 colours thanks to background lighting, to reflect your own personal lighting mood.
Spaciously flexible
You can adjust the second seat row in the new Tayron to suit your particular needs in any given situation. Whether for seven people with a luggage compartment capacity of up to 850 litres, as a five-seater with up to 885 litres of space for your luggage or as an eHybrid – likewise for up to five people and 705 litres of luggage space. And should you ever need the entire storage volume, you can fold down all seats to create a virtually flat luggage compartment floor – with Original Cargo elements preventing stowed items from slipping around.
Two drives. Complete driving pleasure.
The plug-in hybrid combines an electric motor with a TSI petrol engine: you can therefore drive most routes with the five-seater using just the electric motor – with a maximum pure electric range of more than 100 km. For greater range without charging stops, the plug-in hybrid switches automatically to the petrol engine. Thanks to the new DC quick-charging function, the battery can be charged for the most part in no time under optimum conditions.
Just see what you want to see
The smart high-resolution 25.91 cm (10.2 inch) Digital Cockpit Pro not only shows you the speed, you also keep an eye, for example, on the navigation map or the title of the track you’re listening to right now. Set the display very simply as you wish to have it.
Infotainment
In the new Tayron you are well informed, safely navigated to your destination and perfectly entertained while out and about. The Ready 2 Discover radio comes with loudspeakers in the front and rear to offer you an improved sound experience, and can also be enhanced later on with useful functions such as navigation. Connect your mobile phone wirelessly via Bluetooth, stream your favourite podcasts and playlists from the Internet and enjoy digital DAB+ reception. You can even charge your laptop via the USB-C ports with a charging capacity of up to 45 W.
