For employees, all you need is:

  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • A payslip that’s less than 30 days old and shows direct, permanent employment with the MG Affinity partner

For retirees, you’ll need:

  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • Proof of your MG Affinity partner pension entitlement (a current-year pension statement or P60)
  • Proof of ongoing receipt of that pension from the MG Affinity partner (a recent bank statement, pension payslip or pension award letter)*

For club members, you’ll just require:

  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • A valid membership card from the approved MG Affinity partner organisation (subject to terms and conditions)

* It’s important to note that a P60 alone doesn’t confirm that you’re currently in receipt of a pension (it only confirms that pension payments were made during the specified tax year). For this reason, a combination of these documents is required for definitive proof of active and ongoing receipt of pension payments, and of your eligibility for the scheme.

Rest assured when purchasing a car through the MG Affinity Scheme, you are not required to leave any original documents or copies with your MG dealer.
MG Affinity savings unfortunately can’t be used in conjunction with existing finance offers. But we’re pleased to say the savings available exclusively under the scheme will be substantial – and often more significant than any finance offers available separately.

Unfortunately, the MG Affinity Scheme doesn’t extend to:

  • Contracted staff
  • The self-employed
  • Temporary staff
  • Volunteer staff
  • NHS ID cards
  • Blue Light cards
  • Defence Discount Cards (DDS cards)
  • General staff ID cards
  • Retirees not currently drawing on an MG Affinity partner pension

Yes, we’re delighted to say veterans can access our exclusive savings. However, every veteran’s situation is unique and eligibility will depend on various factors related to your service and the specific terms of your retirement or discharge.

For those in active employment with the Armed Forces:

  • A veteran is defined as someone who has served in the Armed Forces and is no longer in active military service, i.e. not actively employed by the Armed Forces.
  • However, we recognise that some veterans may continue to work in civilian roles within the defence sector or related government departments after their military service.

For those in active receipt of a Public Sector Pension:

  • Not all veterans are automatically entitled to a pension.
  • Eligibility for a military pension depends on the length and terms of service, as well as the specific pension scheme in place during the service period.

With that in mind, to access the MG Affinity Scheme, veterans will just need to provide:

  • A payslip that’s less than 30 days old and shows direct, permanent employment with the Armed Forces

Or alternatively:

  • Proof of your Armed Forces pension entitlement (a current-year pension statement or P60)
  • Proof of ongoing receipt of that pension from the Armed Forces (a recent bank statement, pension payslip or pension award letter)*

Unfortunately, holders of Blue Light cards and Defence Discount cards (DDS cards) are not included on our list of eligible partners, organisations and employees.
