The e:Ny1 is the latest step in Honda’s electrification journey which expects to see thirty new electric vehicles launched around the world by 2030. With its advanced technology, complete comfort and zero emissions, it’s perfect for nipping around town on those busy days.
It’s been a bit of a wait since the release of the original Honda e, but its successor promises to be even more comfortable and practical with a higher range of 256 miles on a single charge. The e:Ny1’s powerful electric engine gives you 204ps of power and 310Nm of torque - impressive for an EV! It’s also able to quickly charge up to 80% in around 45 minutes, and what’s more is you can use the handy My Honda+ app to monitor your car’s charging status and get maintenance reminders (we told you it was practical!).
Simple and sleek, the e:Ny1 flaunts a minimalist design featuring hidden door handles and rear lights, as well as a retracting panel to seamlessly hide the charging port. Comfort and reliability are prominent in this car, with its 10.2” customisable driver display and Honda SENSING safety technology which uses sensors and a multi-view camera to guide you through tight spaces. In advance grade vehicles, you’ll also have the Honda Parking Pilot option so you can park your car at the tap of a button – Honda Europe’s senior VP Tom Gardner emphasises the “customer-centric technology” that comes with this fantastic SUV.
You’ll only find three physical buttons in front of you: hazard lights and front and rear windscreen. The 15.1” infotainment touchscreen is where you’ll find other functions such as heating, ventilation, navigation and audio, with the option to pair your mobile device using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Phone’s dead? No problem at all, the e:Ny1 offers USB or wireless charging so you can top up on the go!
