The Insight has been rated one of the UK's safest cars setting the benchmark for hybrid cars, according to the new independent crash test results from Euro NCAP. It has been awarded the maximum 5 Star rating which follows on from the 5 Star results achieved by Jazz, Civic and Accord.

Euro NCAP's new rating introduced in February 2009, focuses on the vehicles overall safety performance which gives consumers an easy to understand single score. The new system covers adult occupant, child occupant, pedestrian protection and safety assist.

The Euro NCAP rating for Insight reflects Honda’s commitment to passenger and pedestrian safety. ‘Real-World’ safety has always been an important consideration for Honda when developing new models. Honda’s car-to-car crash test facility at the Tochigi R&D plant analyses impacts between models of different sizes and weights and develops solutions to avoid injuries for all parties.
