"Most websites, especially those of big companies, use this space to tell you how big they are, when they were established and how many units they sell each year.Well that’s not what I’d like to do. I’d like to tell you about some of the people who work in Cox Motor Group and about some of the relationships that they, and I, enjoy with our customers. I think that tells you much more about a company than any statistics will.![]() Firstly there’s me, David Cox, I’m lucky enough to be owner and Managing Director. I’m a family man, I like a laugh but I take business seriously too. I love the idea of staff progression, all the way through the company if possible, it gives me a sense of achievement when any one of our 200 employees makes the next grade, because it’s so important for our customers. ![]() A great example of our management team is Dave Morphy. Dave was the highest achieving technician in the entire Honda network when he hung up his spanners to move into service management. He is a top class bloke and his people skills are amazing. He has customers who will only trust their car to him. I don’t blame them either, if my life or that of my family’s was entrusted to someone, I’d take no risks either. ![]() I also want to tell you about Alison Holden. Alison holds together our Honda administration departments in the group. Alison is a perfectionist, she runs the tightest of ships and although when you deal with us you are unlikely to meet the lovely Alison, you can feel safe in the knowledge that behind the scenes there is someone who takes the smooth running of the transaction very seriously indeed, otherwise why would Mrs. Carrigan bring biscuits in for Ali and the team every time she comes in for service? ![]() And what about Bob Berry at Kendal Citroen? The man is obsessed with quality and satisfaction. Buying a car from Bob is wonderful experience. He is thorough, honest, decent and patient; why else would Mr. Stevens bring him sweets in? He doesn’t have to, Bob’s sweet enough! So I hope that gives you a feel for what we are all about. Honestly we are a quality business and if you haven’t already dealt with us then I would love you to do so in the future. Oh and for the statisticians amongst you, we sell about 5000 "units" per year and we’re in the top 150 biggest groups in the country. See my way was much better wasn’t it?" |
